Serious accident in Trois-Rivières: a teenager ejected from a semi-trailer

A teenager is between life and death after being ejected from the cabin of a semi-trailer in a serious traffic accident that occurred Thursday afternoon on Highway 40, up to Trois-Rivières.

The collision took place around 2 p.m., per kilometer 193 of Highway 40 East.

According to the authorities, the heavy goods vehicle has violently stamped two vehicles which preceded it during a sudden slowdown in traffic.

The semi-trailer would then have made barrels to finish its race in the central media of the highway.

According to our information, the mastodon was led by a young trucker of 20 years. His 16 -year -old sister, who accompanied him aboard the cabin, was allegedly ejected during the accident.

She was transported to hospital in a very critical state. Doctors fear for his life.

The occupants of the two stamped vehicles were not injured, at least not seriously.

An expert in reconstruction of the Quebec Sûreté accident scene was dispatched to the scene to try to establish the circumstances of the drama.

Consequently, a portion of the highway in the direction has been completely closed to traffic for a good part of the afternoon.
