The Museum of Art and History (MAH) of Geneva reveals its summer program which will transform its spaces into places of various cultural meetings. As indicated by a press release from the City of Geneva published on July 10, 2025, from Tango evenings to the yoga sessions, including a bibliomobile installed near the water jet, the institution offers activities for all audiences until September.

The museum’s court will welcome thematic evenings all summer. In July, the Argentine atmosphere will settle with Tango evenings on Thursdays 10, 24 and 31 at 6 p.m. Each evening will start with a guided exhibition visit, followed by an initiation to Tango and a Milonga concert. In August, place to electronic music with DJ sets organized in partnership with the Headfun association, Thursdays August 7, 14 and 21 at 6 p.m.

Eclectic programming

The Geneva Chamber Opera will present “La Serva Padrona” by Pergolesi on August 28 at 7 p.m., then on August 30 and 31 at 4 p.m. Reservations are made on the museum ticketing site. The humorist Julie Conti will offer offbeat visits from the painting collection on September 4 at 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., at the price of 15 francs.

From July 28 to August 15, a yellow bibliomobile will settle at the Quai Gustave-Ador near the water jet from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The librarians and the museum team will offer books to read, exchange or discover, as well as animations for young and old. The museum also inaugurates its new bookstore, open from Wednesday to Sunday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., and until 9 p.m. Thursday.

Sport and meditation at the museum

MAH incorporates sports and meditative activities into its cultural offer. Pilates sessions facing the works of the Jean Tinguely exhibition at the Rath museum will take place on Thursdays in July at 12:30 p.m. Free Urban Training Course will be offered with works at 6:25 p.m.: Yoga on July 31, August 14 and 28, stretching on July 10 and 24 as well as August 7, and Pilates on July 17 and August 21.

Head of mindfulness meditation sessions at 15 francs will explore the Alps on July 22 and Egypt on August 13 at 9 a.m. The Tinguely exhibition will also be able to discover in motion with the Feldenkrais method on July 10, August 7 and September 4 at 5:30 p.m.
