Seven people were hospitalized on Wednesday, including four in critical condition, in Castile-et-Léon (northwest), one of the regions of Spain most affected by fires that have been raging for several days in the country and have already killed two.
(Keystone-ATS) The other region where the situation is the most worrying is Galicia (northwest point), where some 11,500 hectares have already been destroyed by flames, especially in the province of Ourense, where firefighters fail to watch a large fire in Chandrexa de Queixa.
In neighboring Portugal, 2100 firefighters supported by around twenty aerial resources were fighting for five fires in the north and the center on Wednesday.
Among the seven people whose hospitalization was announced Wednesday by the regional government of Castille-et-Léon, is in particular a 37-year-old man burned on 85% of the body.
The other three people whose state is also considered critical are a 56 -year -old woman, burned on half of the body, and two men of 64 and 36.
