Syndic workers from Canada Post will have the opportunity to vote directly on the employer’s offer for a new collective agreement on Monday.
The Canadian Council for Industrial Relations will keep the vote from July 21 to 1is august.
Posts Canada has been in an impasse for months with the union, which represents around 55,000 postal services.
Last month, the Federal Minister of Employment, Patty Hajdu, asked the Canadian Council for Industrial Relations to intervene and submit the last offer of the Crown Company to the vote of the workers themselves.
This agreement provides for salary increases for job workers as well as changes to set up seven days a week, a measure that Canada Post considers essential for its company in difficulty.
The Syndicate of Posts workers urged its members to vote against the proposal and has established a national ban on overtime pending better agreement.
