In a 21st and last high -flying stage, the Belgian Wout Van Aert won the sprint after taking part in a breakaway, a rare situation. A slight gap that has not changed anything in the general classification, since the Slovenian Tadej Pogačar won his fourth yellow jersey.
The Tour de France 2025 is over. The 160 runners still in the running concluded the three weeks of racing with the traditional arrival on the Champs-Élysées. A stage that will remain in the history of the Grande Boucle with a triple ascent of the Butte Montmartre and above all, a victorious escape.
In this game, it was the Belgian Wout Van Aert who won ahead of Davide Ballerini (XDS Astana Team) and Matej Mohoric (Bahrain-Victorious).
In an unleashed atmosphere in Montmartre, the sprinters fell in front of the multiple climbs. A situation which opened a boulevard to a handful of runners, including the leader in the general classification and two runners of the Visma-Lease A Bike, Matteo Jorgenson and Wout Van Aert.
In the last climb, Tadej Pogačar did everything to exhaust his competitors, but it is indeed the Belgian who detached herself to never be taken over again. He won alone on the most beautiful avenue in the world.
A satisfaction for the cyclist, green jersey for the best sprinter and super-combative price during the 2022 edition, which had suffered from a result deficit for several months.
