Zurich police stop two burglars in armory

Zurich police arrested two men who were preparing to rob a weapon store on Saturday in Pfungen. It is a Slovak and a Frenchman.

(Keystone-ATS) Questioned by Keystone-ATS, a police spokesperson confirmed the information published on several information sites. The special diamond unit also intervened.

The alleged authors rushed with a vehicle against the glass of armory. About fifty handguns had already been stolen from trade during a burglary at the end of May, the spokesperson added.

In recent days, flights in armory has multiplied in Switzerland. A possible link with the burglary on Saturday in Pfungen will be examined, said police spokesperson.

On July 17, strangers stolen handguns in Alststätten (SG). On July 21, criminals entered armories in Evionnaz (VS) and Gossau (SG). In the case of Evionnaz, two alleged authors were apprehended in the space of a day. A third person is on the run.
