An entry into the Belgian Cup against a Flemish P1 and positive signals for the D3 in Jodoigne: “We are reassured in relation to quality”

However, the T2 does not hide that it is above all a preparation meeting in its approach. “Neither them nor us will be ready this Sunday, this is a parameter that we will have to take into account. For our part, we will use this meeting so that players progress more physically but without grilling them either. The best players will be aligned but we will give maximum 65-70 % playing time to the majority of holders, unlike friendly matches where we gave a half time.”

Compared to the preparation precisely, Jodoigne has already played four friendly games. And the results are so far rather positive. “We beat Seraing, who had come with a few players from the professional nucleus. Then, we also defeated the P3 of Orp-NoduWez, who gave his life in an interesting match, before losing 2-1 against the Waremme D2. Finally, we faced the U21 of Olympic Charleroi in a meeting rich in lessons that ended with a sharing.

While a good number of observers wonder about the real face that Jodoigne will have this season, the Jodoignois staff is rather reassuring despite the big project operated this summer. “We also had some doubts but we are reassured in relation to the quality observed in the nucleus. It is very interesting because there are very specific profiles for each position and it is up to us to keep everyone concerned as long as possible. We can already draw our hat all the same to Jean Winnepenninckx who has done an interesting work in terms of transfers!”

Despite this optimistic speech, there is no question of indicating that Jodoigne will walk on the water during the arriving championship. “We will have to take points as quickly as possible to try to save yourself in D3. The staff already knows each other well and this can help since we have already almost all worked together in the past. For this first with a real adversity, this will therefore allow Alphonse to see what the team and he himself must still improve to be as ready for the start of the championship.”
