The company also published its “delays league”, pointing to countries whose Ryanair flights were most behind. If Belgium is a good student in this area, this is not the case for certain popular destinations such as France, Spain or Portugal, but also Germany and the United Kingdom.
Belgium among good students
It is in France that there is the most late. 26,000 flights have been delayed, impacting nearly 4.7 million passengers. Then arrives Spain, with 16,000 delayed flights and 3 million passengers affected. “If these states can properly manage and provide their services to their services in order to reduce avoidable delays, why France, Germany, Portugal and the United Kingdom cannot offer similar service, even though their services are well funded by airlines,” Ryanair wonders in a press release.
“This situation is deeply unfair for passengers and airlines, who pay the high price for these poor quality services. Transport ministers in these countries must be held responsible for their inaction,” said Ryanair.
