The project to relocate and build the new museum of natural history at the Arsenaux route in Friborg will offer a place of culture, sharing scientific knowledge and meeting to the Friborg population. With his new permanent exhibition, his coffee and his gardens, he will offer a modern and quality museum experience that will strengthen the attractiveness of the canton.
The museum’s gardens, which will welcome artistic animation, are dedicated to awareness and support for biodiversity in urban areas. They will offer a durable development and maintenance model.
The construction project of the Natural History Museum is in the execution phase and the opening of the museum to the public is scheduled for the end of 2028. The design of the gardens is complete and the call for tenders for their realization has been launched. The work on the gardens will take place between 2027 and 2028.
Interested artists are invited to submit their proposals by September 15, 2025.
