The authors of the female attempt by a woman, who was burned long, were tried on Tuesday guilty of attempted assassination. They received 17 and 14 years in prison. The total sentence of the sponsor is 18 years old with financial embezzlement.
“It is a crime of unusual strength and cruelty,” said Bastien Sandoz, president of the Criminal Court of Neuchâtel.
“The process is odious, the victim has suffered absolute terror and abominable sufferings”
The intention of homicide was very present for the two defendants, said the judge.
“They were aware that in such a way, the outcome could be death. It is a very thoughtful, built and long -prepared act ”
The court has imposed a slightly heavier sentence for the sponsor, than that required by the public prosecutor, 16 and a half years for the assassination attempt and eight months for financial embezzlement, 17.3 years in total. The man will appeal. The penalty is identical for the co-accused. (JZS/ATS)
