Huge feat of the Swiss 3×3 basketball team this Sunday in Mongolia. In Ulan-Bator, the Natan and Thomas Jurkovitz brothers, Jonathan Dubas and Jonathan Kazadi qualified for the World Cup final, after defeating the Serbs, double reigning world champions, on the score of 21-11.
Qualified for the first world semi-final in their history after their victory against Latvia on Saturday (21-15), the Swiss did not let the opportunity to write history a little more. They thus constantly led to the score: 4-2, 8-3, 13-5 then 15-9 to a little less than three minutes from the end, when a huge downpour fell on the Mongolian capital.
The thirty -minute interruption did not cool the Swiss ardor: one minute after the recovery, Jonathan Dubas inscribed a basket with two decisive points which allowed Switzerland to reach the 21 points mark and thus put an end to the meeting.
Switzerland will therefore play for the world title this Sunday afternoon, from 2:25 p.m. She will face Spain, against whom she lost 21-12 at the opening of a tournament.
