Belgium is investigating the death of a 35 -year -old Canadian at the Tomorrowland electronic music festival

Belgian authorities announced this Saturday, July 19, having opened an investigation after the death of a Canadian who fell ill at Tomorrowland, one of the biggest electronic music festivals in the world.

The Antwerp prosecutor’s office said he was trying to determine the causes of the death of this 35 -year -old woman, who was one of the tens of thousands of festival -goers present during the opening evening on Friday.

The woman made a discomfort during the festival held in Boom, near Antwerp, and was transported to the hospital, where her death was noted, a spokesperson for the Antwerp prosecutor’s office at AFP said.

400,000 people expected

Bringing together dozens of artists, including David Guetta, Lost Frequencies and Charlotte de Witte, Tomorrowland attracts electronic music from around the world.

About 400,000 people are expected on the two weekends of the festival.

The festival was questioned this week after a fire destroyed its main scene, but the organizers quickly set up a “configuration alternative” And the event was able to stand as planned.
