Benjamin Netanyahu: “Israel will gain war with or without the support of others”

The new Israeli plan to conquer the city of Gaza “does not aim to occupy Gaza,” said Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday, believing that it is the “best way to finish the war” which has been raging for 22 months in Palestinian territory.

“Today we have accomplished much of the work. We have around 70 to 75% Gaza under Israeli military control, “said Israeli Prime Minister during a press conference in Jerusalem.

“A security zone will be established on the Gaza border with Israel to prevent future terrorist incursions. A civil administration will be set up in Gaza, seeking to live in peace with Israel. This is our plan for the day after Hamas, ”summed up the Prime Minister.

“First, disarm Hamas. Second, all hostages are released. Third, Gaza is demilitarized. Fourth, Israel exercises preponderant security control. And fifth, a non -Israeli peaceful civil administration. (…) This is what we want to see in Gaza, “he said.

“We will do so by allowing the civilian population first to leave the combat areas in complete safety to go to designated secure areas”, where “they will be provided in abundance of food, water and medical care,” explained the Prime Minister.

“In the past few months, Hamas has violently looted trucks for the Palestinian civilian population. They deliberately created the shortage, “he said.

“And the UN systematically refused, until recently, to distribute the thousands of trucks that we let in Gaza enter. Thus, our problem is that we have had tons of food collected but not distributed, rotting on the side of the Gazaouie border, because the UN was and is always reluctant to deliver them all, “he said.

“We are going to designate protected corridors” for the distribution of assistance in the Gaza Strip and “increase the number of GHF aid distribution sites” (private foundation supported by the United States and Israel), added Netanyahu, who also promised more “air drops”.

The Prime Minister denounced a global campaign of lies against Israel. “The only people deliberately hungry in Gaza today are our hostages, hungry by Hamas monsters”.
