big change in perspective for the next generation

If there is no doubt that the dress of the new BMW X5/IX5 will logically be part of the Neue Klasse movement, it will already bring many cosmetic developments. Starting with a particular treatment of the famous grille beans which have become again at normal size. Or even tiny with regard to those making up the BMW i7 grille. Also note, that the BMW X5/IX5 will go from door handles to the sides replacing these elements with small hostects housed on the edge of windows. Equipment that is still very rarely found in series. The Ford Mustang Mach-E and Ferrari Purosangue were on this first point of rope. The future version of the Audi Q7 should also benefit from it. A layout promoting the aerodynamics of the battery versions but which is not very practical to use by young children as it is high perched. And which can also be capricious or even dangerous.

The artist has focused on the BMW X5M version whose plastic will obviously be even more demonstrative. On both sides of the small beans which will be certainly bright, behind a shiny black mask the headlights take place. While the model at the bottom of the shield, at the central air inlet, logically takes up the theme inaugurated by that of the BMW M5. The latter will also be restyled in 2026.

A hybrid V8 for the BMW X5M

In addition to cosmetic kinship, The parentage will also be technical with the BMW M5. Indeed, the future BMW X5m will also benefit from the V8 engine known internally under the S68 code, namely the 4.4 liter Block Biturbo Also shared with the BMW XM. A team whose cumulative power should exceed 700 hp. But it is not excluded that a 100% electric Motorsport variant is also in the game, a BMW IX5M.
