Billy Talent surpasses the rain at Festivoix

The Canadian group Billy Talent offered a solid performance at the Festivoix by as if the rain did not exist and their thousands of admirers present proved that they were not made of chocolate.

While the rain started timidly at the start of the evening, it became much larger around 10 p.m. just before their performance. Dressed in ponchos or not, festival -goers remained on the floor and on the grassy parts. The rain decreased by intensity about fifteen minutes later, the group went on stage at 10:30 p.m.

It was a return to the festivoix for the group, its last passage dates back to 2017. After more than two decades of activity, the group does not run out of steam and delivers its songs with solidity and an energy that does not weaken. The distinctive voice of singer Benjamin Kowalewicz still remains as powerful. On the floor, people sing, dance, swept away by the songs they know by heart.

This closed -countered evening has gathered fans of the group from all over Quebec.

Around 5 p.m., at the entrance to the tunnel leading to the large scene of the river, some waited long hours the opening of the site. Simon Benson and Kelly-Anne Nadeau de Saint-Raymond-de-Portneuf arrived shortly before noon. They had the chance to see the members of the group pass near them. They were even able to take pictures of them.

Marilyn Lévesque de Pointe-Calumet and Marlène Jean de Sainte-Sophie did not have this chance even if they arrived at 9:30 a.m. in the morning. Marlène follows the group across Canada. She will attend her 76th Billy Talent show. One of the reasons why I love them in a show is that it doesn’t matter which of the 20 or 22 songs they are going to choose, it’s going to be an evening killer From start to finish. She says she has never been disappointed since she follows the group.

The Canadian artist still remains very popular with his fans. It was also fun to see the fans of Billy Talent and those who had come to see the other shows. The villains penguins gathered a very beautiful variegated crowd, but united to the sound of their music. Overview among the spectators, Carlos Araya, drummer of the Anonymus group. He took advantage of the festival with his little family to come and see Billy Talent, Bad Religion and hello to his friends the villains who finished his farewell tour.

As some hazards are not invented, it was when the group began to sing its song In the rain That the first drops of the evening arrived. The festival -goers had planned the blow and the ponchos quickly became the uniform of circumstance for the show by Bruno Pelletier. The floor of the monastery scene was very full to celebrate the 25th anniversary tour of the album Mercy which is coming to an end. Bruno Pelletier whose voice did not have a wrinkle was very happy to see that the threat of rain did not discourage the public. The interpreter was generous by inviting him to join him to interpret the song that changed his life, The time of cathedrals. You all did in the shower! he launched him. Hearing the improvised choir sing, we could see that many had, in fact, repeated it a lot.
