This is a real challenge that the CAUSSE DE CAUSSE DE CAUSSE DE BOZOULS has launched two years ago: to take three teams of four riders to the legendary French championships in Lamotte-Beuvron, an annual horse riding temple where more than 15,000 horsemen, horses and ponies come from all of France.
Behind this adventure, two passionate instructors: Alexia Plantier, in charge of competition teams, and Caroline Girou, her unwavering support. Both have carried out remarkable background work: regular training, by participating in numerous competitions, intensive internships during the holidays, and even a cohesion internship in Lamotte last year to best prepare this deadline.
But the adventure did not stop in training. The riders have invested in body and soul to finance their project: packaging of gifts at Christmas, sales of pastries, participation in the quine of the equestrian center … Each euro harvested made it possible to lighten the heavy fresh inherent in such a trip. The preparation of horses has not been outdone: osteopathic care, adapted food, rest programs, everything has been done to offer them the best conditions. And what about parents, incredible logistical and moral pillars, who have taken control of all the stewardship: search for sponsors, search for a accommodation site for the group, organization of meals, equipment logistics, transport …
The big start was a highlight in emotion. Arrived on the gigantic site of Lamotte-Beuvron, all felt the extent of the event.
Despite the rain and an omnipresent mud that complicated the installation, the team hugged their elbows. After a preparatory test to take their marks, the teams embarked on competition, with seriousness, concentration … and a lot of emotion. One of the teams has risen to the final, winning a magnificent national 7th – an exceptional result for a small rural associative equestrian center, which can be proud Alexia Plantier.
Beyond the charts, it is above all human ties, giggles, tears, fatigue, mutual aid and shared memories that mark this unforgettable adventure. These championships were a springboard of skills for these riders, but also a brilliant demonstration of what passion, solidarity and collective will can accomplish.
The Cavaliers du Causse association would like to warmly thank, the instructors, the sponsors, the partners, the families, the volunteers, and all those who, from near or far, made this adventure possible and allowed the club to shine!
Next meeting in September for a new school year and new equestrian adventures.
