The incident hit a plane from the Delta company which was to go to Atlanta and who had taken off from Los Angeles.
New blow for the American aircraft manufacturer Boeing. According to information from the BBC, a Delta company device was the victim of an incident this Friday, July 18.
Indeed, while the latter was taking off from Los Angeles to go to Atlanta, one of his engines, the one on the left, caught fire.
“The Delta 446 flight returned to Los Angeles shortly after his departure following an indication of a problem with the left engine of the plane”, said the airline spokesman for our colleagues, while an investigation was opened to learn more about this fire.
Images of the scene were also captured by the Youtube channel La Flight which then shared them on the online platform. On these, we can also see, while the plane is back on land, the emergency services get there.
As a reminder, this incident comes several weeks after a Boeing from the Air India company crashed on June 12, killing nearly 260 people.
