It was a black Dacia, violently struck, when a white car registered in Great Britain occurred, which stamped the first in a frontal impact.
“There are regular accidents here”
The crash was such that it resounded until August Ry Street, overhanging the national. A local resident, who lives in this street, clearly heard it. “There are regular accidents here. This road is dangerous, frequented by trucks. In addition, vehicles diverted by our street do not take into account that they are going through a village,” she told us.
Two Ciney multifunction pumps were mobilized to unravel the passengers stuck in vehicles. Three ambulances – from Ciney, Dinant and Yvoir – as well as two SMUR vehicles from Godinne and Dinant took care of the injured to take them quickly to the hospital. The markup was provided by the firefighters of Yvoir.
Three patrols of the Haute Meuse police area have secured the premises, prohibiting access to vehicles in both directions, and proceeds from the observations.
An expert on site
Around 3:30 p.m., an expert went on site to make the necessary findings and photographs to determine the causes and responsibilities. Around 4 p.m., he used a drone to map the premises and obtain images necessary for the investigation.
In the early evening, after the expert’s departure, the tow trucks intervened to remove the carcasses from the vehicles. The circulation, strongly disrupted, could then be reopened to traffic in both directions.
