The police of the Sûreté du Québec carried out verification operations with lovers of off -road vehicles, mainly in the South Massif sector, last Saturday, a place prized by quad lovers.
According to the results of the Impact VHR operations in the MRC of Bellechasse, Montmagny and des Etchemins, 147 interceptions of quads were carried out, in addition to 38 interceptions of other vehicles (motocross, enduro, road vehicle).
The SQ was able to count on the collaboration of provincial agents of the Quebec Federation of Quads clubs and trail surveillance agents of the regional squad of Chaudière-Appalaches.
A total of 23 findings were submitted under the under -road vehicle law, 11 other observations, 31 warnings, 4 evictions and a vehicle entry.
These operations are part of the safety strategy of transport networks 2021-2026, “human life, at the heart of our actions”, which aims to reduce the number of deadly collisions and with serious injuries on road and recreational tourism networks.
