Gacia Kazandjian has just been elected president of the France-Canada Chamber of Commerce (CCFC). She thus became the first woman to occupy this function since the creation of the institution in 1956. Associate lawyer of the Fidal cabinet, she succeeds Daniel Jouanneau, former diplomat who will have marked the Chamber by a constant commitment from 2017 to 2025.
With more than twenty years of experience in international business law, a member of the bars of Quebec, Ontario and Paris, Gacia Kazandjian intends to put its skills at the service of Franco-Canadian business and economic relations. “In an international context marked by major geopolitical, economic and environmental issues, the role of the Chamber has never been so crucial”, she said, affirming her will to “Strengthen synergies between French, Quebec and Canadian business ecosystems”.
The new presidency is a continuation while opening up new perspectives. Surrounded by an office and a board of directors with various expertise, it will wear a structured roadmap around five priorities: development of economic exchanges, access to public devices, regulatory support, promotion of sustainable development and valuation of cultural links.
A historic player in transatlantic economic relations, the CCFC brings together companies of all sizes, institutions and public partners. With this new governance, she affirms her ambitions as she approaches her 70e birthday.
