Violent night collision: a passenger hospitalized in Glovelier
Two vehicles crashed frontally this weekend after a refusal of priority. The impact projected one of the cars against a floor lamp.
A traffic accident occurred on the night of Saturday to Sunday to Glovelier, making an injured man, as the Jura cantonal police announced in a press release published on August 11, 2025. The collision took place around 1:30 am at the intersection of the old main road and the road from the rock towards the roundabout of the A16.
A motorist arriving from the village of Glovelier on the old road did not give priority to a vehicle that descended on its left. The two cars entered almost frontal collision. Under the violence of the shock, the priority vehicle was projected on the side and violently struck a floor lamp at the left back door.
An injured passenger
The passenger at the back of the craft vehicle was injured in the accident. He was taken care of by the emergency services and transported to the hospital on the ambulance.
The accident caused significant trafficking in the sector. Traffic was slowed heavily for three hours, the time required for the intervention of the emergency services and the police findings. A deviation has been set up to allow motorists to bypass the injured area.
