The American singer Lionel Richie declared in an interview his love for Switzerland. “I like Switzerland and I like Lisa, my partner,” he told “Sonntagsblick”.
This has its roots in the “beautiful Toggenburg”, where the couple regularly spends time in private. Richie will perform on July 12 at the Hallenstadion in Zurich. For him and his partner, this evening will also be a family party, because “everyone” of their big circle of friends and family will come. “For me, it’s as if I came home,” said Richie.
To the question of which of his songs corresponds to Switzerland, the 76-year-old man replied: “Perhaps simply: ‘Hello’. Whenever I am here, everyone kindly says hello. ”
The interpreter of “All Night Long” then revealed that the Zurich public could expect an evening with two shows: one on stage and one in the audience. It is certain, according to Richie, that many will come disguised as a commodores with Afro wigs, mustaches and outfits of the 80s. “It will be a giant party,” concludes Richie.
