Olympic mountain bike champion, the Frenchwoman won after an incredible issue this Saturday, during the eighth and penultimate stage of the Tour de France female.
Phenomenal. Pauline Ferrand-Prévot had given herself three years to win the Tour de France women with Zwift. Two too much. The Frenchwoman made a demonstration this Saturday, on the slopes of the Col de la Madeleine, to seek the stage victory … and the yellow jersey. The Olympic Cross -Country Olympic Champion was one of the few favorites to be able to follow the attack by Sarah Gigante (AG Insurance – Soudal Team) just over eleven kilometers from the summit. Then, eight kilometers from the finish line, after the magnificent work of her teammate Marion Bunel – survivor of the breakaway of the day – she deployed her wings to fly away, alone.
Concentrated, she has continued to widen the gap on her competitors, all thoroughly, Demi Vollering and Katarzyna Niedadoma in mind. “PFP” had no trouble coming back to the two head girls-Yara Kastelijn and Niamh Fisher-Black-and to distance them five kilometers from the goal to offer one of his best successes on the road.
