Triple reigning champion, Canada began the group phase in the morning with a confrontation against Finland. Switzerland and Czech Republic are also part of the Canada group.
This year, the eyes will be shot on the 16 -year -old defender Landon Dupont, who obtained permission to evolve in the WHL at 15 last year. Admissible for the draft of only 2027, Dupont obtained 60 points in 64 games.
Stronger Thomas Rousseau and defender Cameron Chartrand are the only two Quebecers to have obtained a position with the team. Chartrand is expected to play with the Sea Dogs next year, while Rousseau is a member of the Sherbrooke Phoenix.
Keaton Verhoeff, Ryan Lin, Carson Carels, Tynan Lawrence, Cooper Williams and Ethan Belchetz will be other Canada players to watch during the tournament.
Canada defeated Slovakia 7-0 last week in a preparatory match.
