How can France make its salvation?

France is a turning point in its history. Its place in the world is less due to the current “genius” of the French than to the binding of inheritance of past centuries and of which they have left politicians to squander too much. Capital, accumulated by previous generations by dint of effort and creativity, is reduced as a skin of sorrow. If it wants to keep it, France must first face the truth of its decline, then assume the share of collective responsibility which led it to this critical point.

“There is a bankruptcy of the French political elites,” notes Alexandre Mancino

French people responsible for their fate

A company can only be maintained if it is led by real elites, that is to say by the best in the social body. However, it is clear that the current French elites no longer respond to this definition. They do not sacrifice themselves for the common good; They preserve their particular interests. Public elites favored immigration; Private elites have practiced relocations. All have joined the globalist utopia. Incompetent or cynical, they are only a travesty of what they should embody. Instead of building and stinging, they bought social peace with redistribution. Their legitimation discourse hardly masks their helplessness to resolve the crises they have helped to create and maintain. Obviously, they must be swept away and replaced.

But it would be too easy to accuse only those from above. The people, too, failed. By trusting too much degenerate elites. By also being lulled by his own illusions. Driven by materialist reflexes, it has morally avoided. He resigned himself and ceased to demand from the rulers that they be worthy of their mission. French society suffers as many parasites installed at the top as from a weakened social body at the base.

From there result the ills that everyone can see: a suicidal demographic winter, a culturally divided social body, a routing industrial production, an abyssal public debt, a fiscal pressure which stifles the living forces and an increasing fracture between those who live public money and those who struggle to produce real wealth. Many French people have become, perhaps without even realizing it, rentiers of public money.

Find the sense of sacrifice and transcendence

Faced with these failures, the temptation is great to wait for a savior from elsewhere. But belief in secularized messianism is only a manifestation of weakness. France will only be saved by itself. None God ex Machina Geopolitics (American, Russian or Europeanist) will not fill his structural disabilities, any more than a potentially providential leader will be able to dispense the French from a deep moral and political reformation.

The salvation of France can only come from a refoundation of its relationship to time (transmit its inheritance, defer the benefit of its activity) and to the world (identify its friends and enemies in terms of proximity). Provided that the efforts are equitably distributed, the generations present must find a spirit of selflessness, must in a certain way consent to the sacrifice for those who come: by reconnecting with a strong birth rate, by increasing working time, by redirecting public spending to investment and not functioning … There is no other realistic and moral path.

This sacrifice will only take on meaning on the condition of combining two complementary dimensions: horizontal and vertical. The horizontal is the search for social cohesion by achieving justice (rendering everyone due to their merits) both in its commutative form (in exchanges) and distributive (in distributions). Vertical is the maintenance of the link with the past, rooting in a history and a civilization which give the French an identity and a continuity, it is the refusal to reduce collective existence to a simple calculation of material interests. It is therefore also the opening to transcendence. From the meeting of these two axes can take shape a future. The task is tough and supposes a start of lucidity, courage and faith in the mind. But it is only at this price that France will be able to regain its vocation and its place in the history of men.
