A 3-year-old child died drowned in his parents’ pool at the end of the afternoon, Tuesday, August 12, 2025. The emergency services, who moved in number, could not do anything to save the young victim.
A terrible drama struck a family installed in the town of Valence-d’Agen, Tarn-et-Garonne, Tuesday August 12, 2025. The alert was given to the departmental operational and rescue operational center around 6.50 p.m.
A 3-year-old child was found immersed in the family swimming pool at the end of the afternoon by his father. He immediately called for help. In addition to the Valencian firefighters, a Samu helicopter also was transported to the scene to try to revive the boy, in cardiopulmonary arrest.

Resuscitation attempts were intense. Unfortunately, nothing has done. The doctor was forced to declare the death of the child in the early evening, plunging a whole family into impossible mourning.

According to the first elements of the investigation entrusted to the Valence-d’Agen brigades community (COB), the child would have escaped the vigilance of his father. The boy would have come out of the home and climbed the scale leading to the above-ground pool before falling into the water. A trap that turned out to be fatal.

The little boy’s body was taken care of towards a Toulouse forensic institute. A body examination should at least take place, unless an autopsy is required by the Permanence Magistrate of the Montauban prosecution.
