The Tour de France was not only on the roads of the Marian city or on television screens, it was also in Labastide where the residents and the staff also pedaled, in a good mood.
The Tour de France was not satisfied to cross the Pyrenean roads: it also marked a festive and sporting stop on the Labastide site, in Lourdes. The event mobilized all services, staff, residents and patients, in a friendly and dynamic atmosphere. A fine example of cohesion around sport and sharing.
Everyone lent themselves to the game, motivated by the many challenges launched as part of this original animation. On the program: realization of kilometers, symbolic relays, collective animations … Residents, like professionals, caregivers and administrative staff, put their energy at the service of a joyful cause, in a spirit of solidarity and surpassing oneself.
After the effort, make way for comfort. A meal at La Plancha, shared outdoors, allowed everyone to regain strength in a relaxed atmosphere. But the animation did not stop there since a sports quiz tested the knowledge of the participants, before a long -awaited game to win the emblematic goodies of the Tour caravan.
An upper point of this festive day, a special Tour de France lotto was organized by PASA (Pôle of Activities and Adapted Care) in partnership with the rehabilitation teams. A hundred people gathered there for a moment of pleasure, exchanges and laughter.
“It is a real caravan tour that has animated all the services!” Rejoice the supervisors. “Residents and professionals took great pleasure in surpassing each other during this very successful animation.”
An initiative welcomed by all, which will have made it possible to forge links differently, in a fun and benevolent setting. Labastide lived, for a day, to the rhythm of the peloton. And that day, the finish line was everyone’s smile.
