Two men are in police custody after the shooting that took place Sunday in Goult. The injured husband has already been involved in stuping and organized crime cases.

AFPThe investigation progresses quickly in the investigation into the shooting which left two dead, including the bride, and two seriously injured, Sunday at the end of a wedding in the Luberon, in the Vaucluse (F). On Monday, the police custody of two alleged shooters were announced, before revelations on the husband, involved in particular in narcotics, were made.
According to a source close to the file, these arrests targeting two men aged 20 to 30 took place on Sunday morning, just a few hours after the facts, which took place around 4:30 am. Likewise, a third attacker would still be on the run.
These police custody are carried out as part of the investigation for murder and attempted murder in an organized gang which was opened. And investigations are progressing quickly: information on the husband’s profile could shed light on the context around this drama.
The judicial history of the groom
From a source close to the file, the husband, injured in the shooting, 25 years old and originally from Cavaillon, is thus well known to the police, with 26 legal history, in particular for offenses on drugs on drugs and organized crime.
If no track is officially privileged for the moment, the assumption of a settlement of accounts on the background of drug trafficking was envisaged on Sunday, according to another source close to the file. In a brief press release published on Sunday, the Avignon prosecutor had not advanced any hypothesis.
“I think it was targeted,” said the mayor of the town on Sunday, “angry, revolted and in shock”, during an improvised press point on the spot: “We are close to municipalities unfortunately known for this kind of facts”, like Cavaillon, had added Didier Perello.
Early morning attack
The facts occurred Sunday at dawn, in Goult, a small village in Vaucluse of a thousand inhabitants perched on a rocky piton and overlooking the lavender fields, when the marriage had just ended. Arrived in a vehicle, men hooded in possession of “several types of weapons” opened fire on the bride and groom while they left the party by car, then fled on foot.
The deceased people are the 27 -year -old bride, and one of the attackers, affected “in the exchange”, specified the Avignon prosecutor, Florence Galtier, in her press release, suggesting that riposte fire could have been drawn from the vehicle targeted by the attackers or by relatives of the brides.
According to a source close to the file, the assailed attacker was struck by the couple’s car who fell while trying to flee.
Autopsies soon carried out
The autopsies of the bodies of the two victims, scheduled for the start of the week, should make it possible to determine how the man died on the scene died, and in particular if the ball which touched him was drawn by one of his accomplices, by the husband or by relatives of the family.
Two people were also seriously injured and hospitalized: the husband and a 13 -year -old minor who was aboard the couple’s car. A woman was more slightly injured in the shots.
