Ligue 1+: Canon departure from the French football platform with more than 600,000 subscribers in a week

The Professional Football League (LFP) could not hide its satisfaction for a very long time. The day after the first day of Ligue 1, the figures for their brand new Ligue 1 + platform are excellent, and they congratulate them. In total, more than 600,000 French football enthusiasts have already subscribed, all platforms combined. “Extremely encouraging” figures, according to Nicolas de Tavernost, boss of LFP Media, in an interview he gave us this afternoon.

As a reminder, the objective of LFP Media, which stopped his contract early with Dazn to broadcast himself eight of the nine games of each day, the last being on BeIN Sports, is to reach the million subscribers at the end of the 2025-2026 season. The figure climbs to 2.2-2.5 million at the end of the four planned seasons. Last year, Dazn only crossed the 500,000 course in February.

The match of this Sunday evening, between FC Nantes and Paris Saint-Germain, was notably a great success. 400,000 people were registered for this meeting, broadcast for free for “viewers take a taste for the program”, as Nicolas de Tavernost, President of LFP Media said. At least 200,000 connected live, exclusively on the Ligue 1 +platform.
