The weather conditions will spoil in France this week. Touched by an important scorching episode in recent days, France will now be struck by bad weather and will see the temperatures highly fall. In the south, some cities will lose up to 15 degrees in just a few days.
After the hot weather, places bad weather and freshness. This Monday, if the heat wave still persists in the south of France, with seven departments still placed in orange vigilance by Météo-France, the entire territory will be able to breathe from Tuesday.
On the other hand, if mercury drops significantly everywhere in France this week, rainy and stormy episodes will take over. And they will be accompanied by temperatures revolving around 25 degrees. What mark the end of the holidays for a large majority of French people. But then, what should we expect this week?
Decrease
This Monday, if the south of France was still struck by the heat wave, the temperatures were still more breathable than the last days with 35 ° C to the warmest in Montélimar, in the Drôme. On the other hand, west of France, and mainly the Atlantic coast, saw the sky covering this Monday and the mercury fall.
In La Rochelle, for example, it was 21 degrees for this first day of the week. And further south, in Tarbes, temperatures dropped to 25 degrees while the thermometer displayed 36 Sunday. A significant drop that has given way to rain and thunderstorms.
Tuesday, place aux thunderstorms
France will have to prepare for such conditions for the rest of the week. Tuesday, most of the territory will be in the grip of bad weather, with temperatures below 30 degrees, except in Marseille and Ajaccio, in Corsica. For this second day of the week, Météo-France placed half of the territory in yellow alert for risks of thunderstorms.
Concretely, from Auxerre to Perpignan, the cities will not be spared. But the storm episode will be more intense in Montpellier and Montélimar where it will be 26 ° C during the day. The Atlantic coast, however, escapes thunderstorms, except in Brest (20 ° C), which will be strongly affected by lightning. The north of France, too, will pass through, even if the sky will be covered. In terms of temperatures, the minimums will be reached in Cherbourg, in the Channel, where the thermometer will display 20 degrees.
This Tuesday day will mark a significant fall in mercury throughout the territory. For example, in Toulouse, in Haute-Garonne, it will be 24 ° C Tuesday against 39 last Saturday, a fall of 15 degrees.
Wednesday, freshness sets in
But this trend will continue to increase on Wednesday, where only Corsica will experience a mercury reaching 30 ° C. The pink city will again lose two degrees in this middle of the week and will see thunderstorms forming in its sky. But prudence will mainly be put in the Southeast where important storm episodes will strike the region, especially in Montpellier and Montélimar. The two cities will experience a second consecutive day with these bad weather.
For its part, the north of France will resist thunderstorms but will not pass through the drops. From Hauts-de-France to Normandy, the sun will point the tip of its nose despite a cloudy sky. On the other hand, below, no city will be spared by the rain. As in Paris, where up to 17 millimeters of precipitation is expected, according to agricultural weather. In terms of temperatures, it will be cool throughout the territory with a mercury revolving around 20 degrees. Only Corsica, once again, will experience 30 ° C for this day.
Thursday, the good weather comes back
Thursday, the good weather will be back on most of France, and mainly in the north and west of France. However, temperatures will still be as fresh with a mercury not exceeding 23 degrees. But the sun will be there. This will not be the case for eastern France, still a victim of rain, like part of the Pyrenees.
For his part, Montélimar will live a third day in a row struck by important thunderstorms. Just like Lyon, where the storm episode is announced less intense. Regarding temperatures, it will make the hottest in Montpellier with a thermometer displaying 28 degrees.
A sunny weekend
Friday will symbolize the end of thunderstorms. If the rain will persist on a small part of the territory, mainly the Alps and the Vosges, the good weather will dominate France. The North will always experience fresh temperatures, with 19 degrees expected in Paris, while the South will see the mercury go up. In Montpellier for example, the inhabitants will find heat exceeding 30 ° C.
For the weekend, a good weather is expected for France. Only the Alps and Corsica will be affected by a few showers. Temperatures will be ideal, ranging from 21 to 29 degrees from north to south.
