The Quebec pilot Marc-André Lachapelle is preparing to take an important step in his career by taking part in his very first test in Nascar Canada on August 23, on the Icar complex in Mirabel.

Originally from Saint-Jérôme, Lachapelle is a regular in Quebec oval circuits, where he distinguished himself in recent years in the Nascar Sportsman series. Recognized for his determination, he will seize this opportunity to jump into the most prestigious Canadian Stock-Car series.

In 2023, he received the Étienne Cliche Prize highlighting his perseverance and was also nominated for the Raphaël Lessard trophy. For this first appearance, he will be able to count on the support of the team of Donald Theetge, a well -known name in the middle, which will support him in this transition to the very competitive peloton of Nascar Canada.

Marc-André Lachapelle will be sponsored by Ford Léveillé, whose support was decisive in the realization of this project: “running in Nascar Canada is a childhood dream that comes true. At 47, I finally live this moment. Originally from the region, I am proud to be supported by several sponsors. The ICAR complex is a beautiful track to make my debut. My goal is to have fun, to follow the pace and to cross the finish thread ”.

The August 23 race in Icar promises to be high in intensity, with probably 25 to 30 drivers at the start, two weeks after the trial at the Trois-Rivières Grand Prix.
