Merville. The Tour de France, under the hall, at the stadium and at the castle

It is today that the 12th stage of the Tour de France will pass, for the very first time in the center of Merville. As a reminder, the entire course borrowed by cyclists in the town will be prohibited for traffic and parking (along the roads) between 10 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

However, entertainment is planned: with the merchants of the AMCAPLA association under the hall and possibility of having a coffee, and to eat. On the Louis de Beaumont stadium and hoping that the helicopter that follows the route can film it, a giant drawing will be made by Save and Garonne FC using chasubles, cones, plaster and young licensees. At Merville Castle, we also knew how to adapt. Indeed, the castle and the Merville labyrinth will be open to the public on Wednesday July 16. From 9:30 a.m., all the access roads to the village of Merville will be closed to traffic. It will therefore no longer be possible to reach the site by car after this schedule. Visitors residing in Merville or already present in the village will be able to access the park under the usual conditions, with application of the entrance rates. They will not be affected by traffic restrictions and will be able to access the site and leave it when they wish, while respecting the opening hours. Visitors from outside Merville (by car or any other motorized means) will imperatively have to arrive on site before 9:30 a.m. for these outdoor visitors, no departure will be possible before the reopening of the roads, scheduled for around 3 p.m. the tavern remains open.
