Mirepoix. Organ concert, from shadow to light

By the invitation of the Association of Friends of the Organ of Mirepoix (AAOM), the Tjark Pinne organist will give a concert on Wednesday July 30 at 5 p.m. in the old Saint-Maurice cathedral.

A program designed as a journey, from shadow to light, through four works of different styles and eras, by Jean-Sébastien Bach, Franz Liszt, Julius Reubke and Ghislaine Reece-Trapp, which give to hear the voices of suffering, memory, prayer and, finally, peace.

Born in Oldenburg, Northern Germany, Tjark Pinne studies sacred music and obtains the master’s master’s degree in Hamburg, for the organ and choir direction. During this period, he also trained on historical instruments and studies in Göteborg, Sweden, where he discovered the Scandinavian choral tradition as part of an Erasmus exchange.

Tjark deepens for two years his knowledge of French music in Toulouse, on the famous organs in the south of France, and participates in many Master Class in Italy, Austria, the Netherlands and the United States.

From 2022 to 2025, he exercised the function of church musician at the Hauptkirche St. Nikolai, one of the five main churches in Hamburg, where he inaugurated a new organ and organized a festive year around this instrument.

Since March 1, 2025, Tjark Pinne has been an organist holder of the Cathedral of Oslo, has made up works for organ and computer, and regularly has given concerts in Germany and internationally.

Reservation possible at the Mirepoix tourist office (entrance: € 15; € 12/member).
