Mission accomplished for the Belgian Cats: Belgium beats the Czech Republic and finishes first in its group!

The first half saw the two teams standing at the elbow (17-17 at the 10th).

Kyara Linskens received his 2nd fault after just 7 minutes. Same price for Antonia Delaere in the 14th. The Czechs will lead four points (29-33) before an 8-0 which replaced the Belgians at the controls with Lisowa in sight.

Julie German was 41-37 at halftime.

The Belgian Cats were ideally resumed the second period with Kyara Linskens (four throws and a 3-point) to lead 48-38. The Belgians had decided to attack the ring also opening more space outside (three-point German Julie: 52-38).

Belgium also ensured in defense to facilitate its offensive actions and develop its characteristic collective game. After leading 55-38 (+17), she went to 58-46 at half an hour.

The last quarter saw the Czech Repainment went into zone defense, without consequences this time. Julie Vanloo aligned her first three points (61-46) before the 3rd fault of Linskens (32nd). Vanloo gave back 17 lengths in its colors (63-46, 33rd). And it’s all smiles that Belgium was spinning towards an authoritarian and convincing victory.
