(New Delhi) Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi denied on Tuesday that US President Donald Trump has negotiated peace with Pakistan during the recent conflict, saying no foreign leader asked New Delhi to end hostilities.
The two nuclear powers clashed last May for four days until Donald Trump announces a cease-fire between the two neighboring countries.
“No foreign leader asked us to end the operation,” Modi said on Tuesday in the National Parliament during a debate on “Sindoor operation” launched against Pakistan, without mentioning the name of Donald Trump.
The Head of Indian government also said that Pakistan begged India to arrest after having felt “the pressure of our attacks”.
This armed conflict, during which the two countries exchanged drone attacks, missile fire and artillery dams, killing more than 70s in both camps, has been the deadliest in decades.
The attack, on April 22, of Hindu tourists, by three men who killed 26 men, in the Indian cashmere triggered this conflict, New Delhi by imputing responsibility to Islamabad, who had categorically denied.
Donald Trump has repeatedly said that he had negotiated peace between the two countries.
“If I was not there, you would have six great wars in progress right now. India is said to be fighting with Pakistan, “he reiterated on Monday in the presence of British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, Turnberryen, Scotland.
Mr. Modi’s declaration took place after Rahul Gandhi of the Congress Opposition Party challenged the Prime Minister to say “in Parliament that Donald Trump.”
Earlier in the day, the Minister of the Interior Amit Shah announced to parliamentarians that the three Pakistani armed men involved in the Indian cashmere attack had been killed the day before during a military operation.

Armed men opened fire on a group of tourists on April 22 in the part of the cashmere administered by India.
“Indian security agencies have detailed evidence of their involvement in this attack,” he said.
He said the three men were Pakistani and that two of them were members of Lashkar-E-Taiba, a terrorist group designated by the UN based in Pakistan.
The two countries competed for the sovereignty of the whole cashmere since their bloody score at their independence in 1947.
