A suspect was arrested after the attempted murder at a park in the Saint-Michel district of Montreal on Monday.
The 28 -year -old man, specifies the police service of the city of Montreal (SPVM) by press release on Thursday, could be arrested and the firearm used was found thanks to “various important testimonies and investigation procedures”.
It was apprehended the day after the attempted murder, in the district of Côte-des-Neiges-Notre-Dame-de-Grâce.
He appeared at the Montreal courthouse on Wednesday and faces the counts of attempted murder, a discharge of firearm, possession of a loaded prohibited firearm and serious assault.
On Monday, the police intervened around 10 p.m. at the Ovila-Legaré park, located at the corner of the boulevard Pie-IX and the 47e Street, after detonations were reported.
They found a 30 -year -old man injured by bullets at the bottom and upper body. Transported to a hospital center, he was aware and we were not afraid for his life.
According to witnesses, a suspect was seen, fleeing before the arrival of the police.
