The emotion was palpable in the courtyard of the Marie-Rivier private school, Friday, June 20.
Valérie Fabre, teacher of the very small section, said goodbye to the establishment after more than 30 years of career devoted to the awakening, education and well-being of toddlers.
To mark this event, an outdoor dinner aperitif was organized, bringing together many parents, current and old students, returned to express their attachment to that which marked their first entry into school life.
Jean-François Moulin, the director, praised in his speech the generosity, patience and passion of this outstanding teacher, who has always managed to welcome each child with kindness and sweetness.
Valérie Fabre, very moved, then spoke, thanking the whole educational community for these years rich in memories.
A highlight of the evening: the children, in one voice, sang a song full of tenderness to thank their mistress. Lip smile, Valérie Fabre received this attention as a real gift from the heart.
A teacher with a big heart, a reassuring figure for toddlers, she was able to transmit much more than learning: a love of school and self-confidence that remains. A page turns, but its footprint will remain in the corridors of Marie-Rivier.
