Ibrahim D., the young man who resulted, Tuesday afternoon, a stab wound a CRS a few hundred meters from the arrival of the 4th stage of the Tour de France in Rouen (Seine-Maritime) was interned this Thursday in psychiatry. The CRS 2 police officer of Vaucresson (Val-de-Marne) targeted at the level of the torso had not been injured, saved by his bulletproof vest.
His colleague had retaliated by using his weapon, “scratching” according to a police source, the leg attacker. The latter had managed to flee for more than 500 m, then threatened with his table knife for spectators of the Grande Boucle before being stopped by two men from CRS 5 of Massy (Essonne).
At the time of his arrest, he was, according to a source close to the investigation, “in the runaway of a hospitalization under constraint” since June 24.
Supported in the hospital to treat his leg injury, the 21 -year -old attacker could be heard on Wednesday by the investigators. According to Pierre GĂ©rard, deputy prosecutor of the Republic of Rouen, “he challenged the alleged facts despite all the concordant testimonies collected and the videos which have been opposed to him”.
It is attested to “suffer from mental disorders for a few months”. For the magistrate, the psychiatric expertise carried out this Thursday confirms “the severity of these disorders and concludes that the discernment of the question is abolition”.
Domiciled in Rouen
The prefect of Seine-Maritime therefore made a decree “admission to psychiatric care with transfer to unit for difficult patients”. The prosecution has raised police custody while continuing the investigations.
Ibrahim D. is domiciled in the difficult district of La Grand-Mare on the heights of Rouen. It lies in a four -story HLM building in renovation near a basketball court. On Wednesday around 6 p.m. on Wednesday, we met his mother back to the family home. “My son did nothing, he’s sick,” she said. Accompanied by three other sons, she does not want to say more. A search was led in the apartment by the police. “They took my phone to me,” said one of the aggressor’s brothers.
The two CRS which arrested the unbalanced were congratulated by ASO, organizer of the Tour de France. Thursday morning, before the departure of the 5th stage in Caen (Calvados), the boss, Christian Prudhomme, according to the national police, paid “a supported tribute” as well as to all the agents who secure the largest cycling race on the planet.
