Nearly 6000 un trucks loaded:
The UN has nearly 6000 trucks loaded with food. For example, currently blocked outside Gaza, and ready to enter the hungry Palestinian territory, the UNRWA boss, Philippe Lazzarini said on Friday.
“The UNRWA has 6000 trucks loaded with aid blocked outside Gaza. Similarly, waiting for the green light to enter,” said Philippe Lazzarini, on network X, pleading for aid by road rather than for air lags.
The latter “cost at least 100 times more than the trucks” which “carry twice as much aid as planes,” he said.
“If there is a political will to allow air lagages-extremely expensive. Consequently, insufficient and ineffective-there should be a similar political will to open road passages,” he added, without explicitly designating Israel, which controls access to Gaza.

Humanitarian aid has since started to enter the besieged territory. but essentially via the GHF (Gaza Foundation for Gaza), supported by Israel and the United States, and in quantity deemed largely insufficient by the international humanitarian community, which refuses to work with this organization, since then to work.
In recent days. between 100 and 200 aid trucks have been able to enter Gaza daily, according to the COGAT (organization dependent on the Israeli Defense nearly 6000 un trucks loaded Ministry), while the UN estimates that it would take at least 500 per day.
And since May 19. on 2010 trucks sent to Gaza, only 260 have arrived at a destination without incident, while 1753 have been intercepted, “either peacefully by people suffering from hunger, or (…) by armed actors”, details an UNOPS UN agency database.
“The UN (…) was able to bring between 500. 600 trucks per day during the ceasefire” at the start of the year, broken on March 18 by Israel, said Philippe Lazzarini.
This aid then reached “the entire population of Gaza in complete safety. dignity” and without “no diversion”, he insisted, judging that “no other alternative to the response coordinated by the UN (…) has given similar results”.
“Let’s go back to what works and let us do our job. This is what the inhabitants of Gaza need today more than ever. with a lasting ceasefire,” concluded the boss nearly 6000 un trucks loaded of UNRWA.
