Valais: The Valais taxman has not yet finished with the hue Dominique Giroud, accused of wine fraud, reveals the Nouvelliste on Saturday. After having obtained a tax recovery and fines of more than 20 million francs for the period 2003 to 2009, the cantonal service of contributions attempted to recover taxes for the years 2011 to 2014. But the Valais Enjoyment obtained a partial victory in May before the Court of Tax Law, because the taxman did not manage to justify his calculation, which allowed Mr. Giroud to avoid maximum taxation. But the case could bounce back, because the chill has since requested the cancellation of the automatic taxes of his company Giroud Vins SA for the years 2010 to 2014. The Giroud affair gave rise to dozens of procedures relating to criminal, administrative or civil law in several cantons.
Air transport: Thomas Steffen, pilot of the airline Swiss and security manager in the Aeropers pilot union, warns on Tages-Anzeiger, Basler Zeitung, Berner Zeitung and the Bund against the overload of international air traffic on Saturday. The sharp increase in theft leads to stress and communication problems, he adds. “If I want to get in touch with air traffic control as an American airport approaches, I can’t sometimes go, because the radio frequency is saturated,” he said. “Often, an air controller and another plane emit at the same time, so that we do not understand and that we must repeat the instructions.”
