The same day, the young woman had denounced the facts of rape in a police station in the Paris region, without however formally lodging a complaint. She had subsequently provided to the police, seized by the Nanterre prosecution of a preliminary investigation, messages sent to friends testifying to her traumatic state after the facts. On March 3, 2023, Achraf Hakimi had been indicted for “rape” by an investigating judge and placed under judicial supervision, after a placement in police custody and an opening of judicial information by the prosecution.
