Fruit of regional consultation, the regional tobacco control program 2025-2027 declines, in Pays de la Loire, the guidelines and measures of the national tobacco control program. It aims to reduce the prevalence of smoking in the region, through 3 axes of actions:
- Prevent entry into smoking, especially among young people, in particular through the implementation of the regional strategy for the development of psychosocial skills
- Support smokers, especially the most vulnerable, towards smoking cessation which remains an important factor of social inequality. One of the axes being to support the training of professionals at first and support smokers wishing to quit smoking. It will also be a question of strengthening the steps to go towards and develop social marketing strategies (Moist) against tobacco by relying on the actors of integration, of the fight against precariousness.
- Preserve our environment of tobacco -related pollution by supporting the development of spaces, healthy places or tobacco -free campuses.
The regional tobacco regional program is based on territorial bodies and local health contracts to take into account local specificities.
Many players in the region are already committed to developing these actions and we thank them. Thus, with them, the terms and calendar of deployment of the PRLT actions will be specified through the co-construction of roadmaps.
