The Canadian Coast Guard (GCC) has deployed several resources to find a ship and its two occupants who took the sea in North Shore on Saturday morning, and who are missing four days later.
The missing boat left Havre-Saint-Pierre at 8 a.m. on August 2. The sailors had to contact their loved ones when they arrived at the Roman in the following days, but they still have not given a sign of life.
The GCC was notified of the situation around 9 a.m. on Tuesday. NGCC ships CAP TOURMETENgcc Cap aupalukNgcc A. Leblanc a ngcc Cap Norman were then assigned to searches at sea.
“At the start of the afternoon on August 5, three air resources joined research, a Cormoran in national defense, a Canada transport plane and a provincial Airlines plane,” said Émilie Proteau-Beaulieu, fishing spokesperson and Oceans Canada.
The excavations are mainly concentrated along the coast and in the Strait of Belle Isle.
The Sûreté du Québec, Fisheries agents and the police of the Natashquan community also join their efforts in this case.
