RTL Info – parking lots, quays, technical centers …: these French infrastructure paid by Luxembourg

Luxembourg co -finances many rail and road infrastructures in France. Overview of projects already carried out and those announced.

At the end of December 2024, Luxembourg had “Participated up to 22 million euros out of the 230 million available” said the Ministry of Mobility. Expenses should accelerate during this year 2025 then 2026: 21 million euros then 26 million euros. Studies are in particular in progress to strengthen the power supply to the railway line, to review the plan of Thionville station and to remove level passages between Thionville and the border. The creation of a freight airlock at the border is also under study.
