Sa’ar in Wadephul: “No Palestinian State because Israel will not give up its security”

The Israeli Foreign Affairs Minister Gideon Sa’ar received his German counterpart, Johann Wadephul, in Jerusalem for a tête-à-tête meeting followed by an extended session with their teams. The discussions focused on bilateral relations, the situation in Gaza and international calls to recognize a Palestinian state. Sa’ar has exposed the humanitarian efforts of Israel, while highlighting the obstacles to negotiations for hostages.

According to Sa’ar, Hamas refuses any agreement, taking advantage of the international support generated by criticism against Israel. “Hamas retains the hostages and does not disarm, hardening its position by seeing international awards,” he said. He criticized the votes calling for the recognition of an undocumented Palestinian state, saying that Judea-Samaria (not the West Bank) is part of the historic heart of Israel. “The Jews have the right to live in Judea-Samaria, a kilometer and a half from here. In Europe, it is believed that Jews can live in Berlin, London or Paris, but not in Judea-Samaria. »»

Sa’ar denounced the Palestinian illegal construction in zone C as an ignored hypocrisy. He accused the Palestinian Authority (AP) of funding terrorists and of encouraging hatred in schools, mosques and media. “If the AP controls borders and airspace, this will allow a flow of Iranian weapons in Israel-this will not happen,” he warned.

In conclusion, Sa’ar was categorical: “No Palestinian state because Israel will not give up its security. This firm position reflects increasing tensions with Europe, where several countries, including France, are preparing unilateral recognition.
