Santos Limited focuses on three regional commercial units, namely the Cooper basin, Queensland and New South Wales (NSW) and the PNG, which now form the eastern Australian and PNG commercial unit, northern Australia and Timor-Oriental, and Western Australia, which now form Western Australia and Australia, Australia Timor-Oriental, and Alaska, which is the third regional commercial unit. These three operational units are supported by two functional divisions: Santos Energy Solutions and Upstream Gas and Liquids. The Cooper basin produces natural gas, gas and crude oil liquids. Gas is sold mainly to national retailers, industry and for the production of liquefied natural gas, while gas liquids and crude oil are sold on national and export markets. Its GLNG project in Queensland produces liquefied natural gas (LNG) for export to world markets from the GNL factory in Gladstone and is also sold on the domestic market. The Bayu-Undan/Darwin LNG (DLNG) project is at the heart of northern Australia and Timor-Oriental.
