Six cheeses recalled throughout France due to the presence of Escherichia coli

Several cheeses from the company cheese dairy Pierre Jacquin & Fils are currently recalled throughout France, announces the site of dangerous products alerts CONSO REMINDER.

A routine control revealed The presence of Escherichia coli shiga toxinogen (STEC), strains of bacteria from the species Escherichia coli.

These are the “ash -like barbichette” J52040076 and J52040134, the “Tomme des Prairies du Fouzon” J52040159 and J52050057 and the “Barbichette triangle” J52040110 and J52060042.

They were marketed between July 24 and July 31, 2025.

“Abdominal pain and vomiting”

Escherichia coli shiga toxinogen (STEC) can lead to the consumption of contaminated products in the week, “Sometimes bloody diarrhea, abdominal pain and vomiting, accompanied or not of fever”.

These symptoms can be followed (5 to 8% of cases) of severe renal complications, mainly in children. People who would have consumed the products mentioned above and who would present this type of symptoms are invited to consult their attending physician without delay“.

Customers are invited to no longer consume, no longer use the product, bring the product to the point of sale, or destroy the product.

The end of the recall is set for August 18. Customers can get a credit.
