After a single free test session from which no conclusion could be drawn, the teams having had to condense three hours of usual program in one hour of testing, the Belgian Grand Prix arrives directly at its first competitive session of the weekend.
Oscar Piastri signed a quick time at the end of the session while behind him, Lando Norris, the Ferrari, the Mercedes and Max Verstappen were very close. It is therefore necessary to expect an important battle again on a formidable track.
As always for the Sprint qualification, there are three parts, SQ1, SQ2 and SQ3, long respectively of 12, 10 and 8 minutes. In the first two, the pilots must use the medium tires, while they put the tender in the last.
