Patience, more than three weeks before the Superman Directed by James Gunn flies over the screens. And while the impatience of fans is only climbing, a question will persist: will the film be a success?
A new element of answer to this question has just fallen with the projections of experts and analysts, who announce a first American weekend between 95 and 125 million dollars … at least.
The top of the dc basket
According to sources close to Warner Bros and DC Studios, relayed by our colleagues from The Hollywood Reporter, production would play it cautious and expect a starting just above $ 100 million on American soil.

However, other experts are a little more confident. According to Deadline, the national company Research Group rather is targeting a start -up of the film around 135 million in three days, with a margin of error even imagining it reaching $ 145 million.
This prediction is supported by the fact that the film has already sold for 10 million presale tickets, breaking the record for the year of the American site Fandango. Such a result would allow this Superman to take off above the Suicide Squad of 2016 (133.6 million), but still far behind the record holder of a PROUction DC, Batman V Superman: dawn of justice And its $ 166 million in a weekend.

With projections ranging from $ 90 to 145 million, this range of predictions at all the appearance of a very imprecise fork. Despite everything, a first weekend above the symbolic bar of 100 million would be seen as a victory for Warner and DC Studios, and would put the film in good position to reimburse its substantial budget of $ 225 million.
