Beach, freedom and gastronomy, the golden triangle of Swiss vacationers
The majority of Helvetians prefers half board to the all-inclusive offers. Costa del Sol, Balearic, Greek islands and Côte d’Azur are their favorite shelters.

This summer, Swiss travelers favor the Mediterranean and flexibility. Mediterranean seaside destinations – notably the Costa del Sol, the Balearic Islands, the Greek islands and the Côte d’Azur – are the first choice for 44%of those questioned, followed by destinations outside Europe (35%) and the large European capitals (30%), according to the results of a survey of a survey of a survey ofeasyJet holidays broadcast this Wednesday.
The majority of respondents expresses a preference for formulas offering flexibility, with half board (30%) and the breakfast included (26%) which are ahead of all-inclusive offers (23%). Regarding favorite activities, two thirds of Swiss travelers mention the relaxation on the beach and the discovery of local gastronomy. Guided and cultural visits are also highly appreciated, with 62% of the responses.
The value for money, central for Swiss travelers
The study reveals that the value for money is the most important reservation criterion for 66%of those questioned, monitoring of customer service (46%) and the simplicity of the reservation process (36%).
One in three Swiss travelers said they reserved a full package including flights, hotel and transfers via a tour operator in the past two years. In addition, two thirds of respondents consider attractive lump sum offers as a factor at least relatively important in their booking decision.
According to this survey, conducted by the independent Bilendi Institute with a representative sample of 1,000 people in French -speaking and German -speaking Switzerland, 73% of travelers provide a tourist stay in the next twelve months.
